Production Manager (Cable Manufacture)
Surabaya (Jawa Timur)

Responsibilities:

Work towards reducing the cost of manufacture.
Responsible for find new contractors, find suitable vendors and should actively work for increasing the vendor pool in order to get more competitive bidding.
Coordinate with the QC, Project Engineer, and with Sales Engineer to understand their requirements.
Liaise with the Warehouse, for sending the imported and locally made components to the customer site.
Follow up with Materials Department and Warehouse to ensure the arrival of imported components.
To fulfill annual key tasks and KPIs agreed superior
To recommend, discipline and motivate all staffs under his responsibility
To continuously look for ways to improvement productivity
Ensure that all staffs complies fully to company’s policies and guidelines, in particularly in the area of EHS and QMS.
To investigate variances related material and productive time within the shifts to identify areas of concern and propose corrective and preventive actions.
Motivate subordinate to ensure good 5S in the plant at all time
To perform other task as assigned by management
To ensure all corrective / preventive action resulting from NCR are implemented correctly and timely
To conduct regular meeting with relevant subordinates to discuss / implement action plans as a result of QIP or PIP
Resolve issues with other department which cannot be resolved at a lower level
Plan & schedule of manpower to ensure all machines are sufficiently manned to carry out productions as per machine utilization plans and production plan from PPIC
Be the first line of contact in case of any machine breakdown and liaise with MRE staff to carry out repair immediately.
Make tactical decisions to adjust machine utilization plan in order to; be more cost effective, achieve higher productivity, avoid delays or to meet customer’s urgent needs
Ensure that all shifts are properly taken over properly at all level
Ensure standard material usage and set-up time defined in BOM and routing is achieved.
Ensure production scrap are kept at or below the agreed level
Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of production area, machines and tooling
Ensure all staffs adhere to safety protocols and takes necessary steps to prevent occurrence of accident
Provide input to Plant Manager to identify qualified employees as trainers for different production equipment
Support Plant Manager in establishing Master Training Plan for employees and a Trainers Certification Program.
To identify training needs for staffs and make suggestion and justifications for to management
Liaise with HR on issues relating to on boarding, induction of new production operators or employees.
Coordinate with respective Shift Supervisors, foreman in preparing of machine operation manual to facilitate training of operators (new employee, job rotation, etc)
Supervise, develop and motivate production peoples by setting measurable target, identifying training needs and evaluate the performances.
Prepare Non Conformance Product Report in case of defects and analyze root cause and define correction & corrective action must be taken

Requirements:

Male, must possess at least a Diploma’s Degree from Engineering
SURABAYA Residents Preferable
Min. 5 years experience in Manufacture of Crane Girders, Slewing Jib Cranes and other structural parts,with 3 years in supervisor role
Knowledge and experience in production, manufacturing processes and techniques
Should have experience or knowledge on Mechanical Drawings, Welding & Welding Standards, Electrical Field Devices & Wiring, Design/Maintenance/Installation of cranes, Fabrication, Safety, Health & Environment.
Competence in :Planning and Organizing, Leading and Supervising, Working with people, Coping and Adapting to Changes, Problem Solving, Following Instructions, Achieving personal work goals and objectives.
Knowledge or experience working with SAP is an advantage
English proficiency is a must, both oral and written
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Having good communication skills
Influencing and leading as a leader
